DESCRIPTION :

The turbulent times ushered in by COVID-19 has transformed our world forever. This moment calls for a collective responsibility to curb this scourge, but for Africa in particular, it requires a new socioeconomic planning model. President Franklin Roosevelt’s vision to develop the world including the “underdeveloped sector” led to the creation of the Bretton Woods system, after World War II. To rebuild Europe devastated by the war, the Marshall Plan was initiated in 1947.  Today, with the weaknesses of our globalized economy exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are challenged to create a new socio-economic order to secure the wellbeing of all nations and all people for future generations.
